A very high percentage of the work done at Cutting Technologies is Laser Cutting for Engineering, General Fabrication and Sheet Metalwork - it's what keeps the company going!

Laser Cut FabricationFabricators trust us - we don't have in-house fabrication facilities so we don't compete. We're very good at Laser Cutting and we stick to what we're good at. We understand the particular issues sub-contract companies have - they're the same as ours - we know you need a fast response to quotation requests, fast reliable delivery, an excellent component, and yes, really really good prices. 100% of our capacity is dedicated to our Laser Cutting Service - we don't make a product, we don't cut for stock. If you don't order from us, we don't eat!

Typical Laser Cutting applications include-

 Sheet metal laser cutting
 Precision Engineering
 Structural Steelwork
 Plant Maintenance Engineering
  Agricultural Engineering
 Chemical Engineering
And many others requiring laser cut components to provide  a service.

Laser Cut Mild Steel
The vast majority of our laser cutting is for engineering parts - we also do work for aesthetic applications, but washers, shims, plates and brackets are our staples. We can cut components ranging from very small to 3000x1500mm, so we're able to suit most applications.

Laser cut stencil
The cut quality and repeatibility of sheet metal laser cutting is excellent - this means your secondary operations, like folding, are so much easier to do. We understand about developments, and will cut components with bend allowance to match your tooling. We can add alignment marks for difficult bends, and even engrave weld points.

laser cut anodised aluminium
We cut from a one-off to thousands of parts for our clients - to us an order is an order! We respond quickly, and changes to prototypes can be done immediately. We try to do everything we can to make you look good to your customer - that way you become a sales team for our work!

Coated Stainless Steel
We're used to processing polished materials. We use special support material to prevent scratching, and cut with the vinyl coating intact on Stainless to protect the part while you're folding it. The work we do for the aesthetic markets really does help you to get the best possible quality.

cut and engraved stainless
We can even mark and engrave many materials giving you the chance to offer a complete service to your clients. Stainless Steel Instrument Panels look excellent laser cut and engraved, and the level of detail achievable is very high.

First and foremost - We Don't Do In-House Fabrication - We Don't Compete With You. We're a laser cutting company, and we're very good at it; we don't get involved in folding, welding, machining or any other secondary operations. Occasionally we get asked to provide a finished component - in this case we use people like you to do the work for us, and we all benefit!

Now, a little information about why our service is second to none-

We get your quote back to you very quickly - we understand you can't win the order until you've quoted, so we try to make sure your quote is there before your competitors.
We're competitive (surprisingly so sometimes!). Our processes are designed to minimise overhead so our prices are great, giving you a better chance of winning the order.
We don't mind quoting for multiple quantities, and cutting everything from prototypes to high volumes - like you to us an order is an order.
Our service is country-wide. Although we're based in Barnsley our main customers are in London, Scotland, Cumbria, Nottingham & Manchester
Once you place your order we confirm a delivery date - this is normally 2-3 days, but can be quicker. The main thing is we're realistic - we don't make promises we don't think we can keep.
Our Quality System is solid - we use a visual system to let everyone in the production chain know your requirements - we don't rely on a dusty manual stuck on a shelf!
We buy the best material and use the best lasers to ensure you get the best quality component; we make your fabrication easier.
We have just about every piece of software we can think of to make sure we can engineer and programme your work - we can reverse engineer parts, and have even created components from a water colour painting!
We control issue levels for you - you don't have to worry about having several versions of a part - we cut the one you want.
We deliver - we use a local company to do a same-day service; we use overnight carriers and couriers for next day. Standard delivery is included in our quoted price - you don't get a nasty shock when you receive the invoice.
We keep all your part details on file - you can place a repeat order years after we've done it and we'll have the information.

We can't list all our advantages here - the page would be too long! Hopefully the above gives you a flavour. We think we're just about perfect, but then we would wouldn't we! Try us and see what you think - Contact us now...
