Laser Engraving (or Laser Etching) is excellent at processing many different types of materials. Unlike mechanical engraving lasers do not physically touch the surface, so fragile materials can be safely etched without mechanical deformation taking place.
We stock a huge range of materials here at Cutting Technologies, everything from polished stainless steel to baby pink acrylic, so you have a wide choice for your finished product. If we don't have a material in stock we'll try to get it for you, or we don't mind you supplying the material. Because we laser cut as well as engrave we can cut most materials to shape and size and then etch the graphic for you.
There are certain materials we engrave but don't cut - these include Glass, Ceramics, Granite, Marble and Stone - laser cutting and these types of material just don't mix! We prefer you to supply these cut to size for us to etch, although we do have other companies we know who may be able to help if you're struggling.
We don't just engrave flat materials - we can do blocks, rings, tubes, bottles, glasses, boxes, pyramids, shoe heels and many other different shapes!
