PEEK (Polyether ether ketone) is an engineering plastic used for demanding applications such as bearings, pistons and pumps. We've never cut it but we laser engrave it using our YaG laser. It engraves really well - it's one of those plastics that gives a black engraving. It's unusual to use YaG lasers for engraving plastic - normally it's only used for metal marking but PEEK, together with Polycarbonate engraves really well with YaG technology.

These parts are distilling tube reel ends - our client - Vapourtec based in Suffolk has them made, sends them to use and we laser engrave the ID marks.
