In the last few years, we’ve been very successful with winning high end, creative work
involving a lot of specialist expertise.

But the more basic high volume, low margin type of work often went overseas. Now we’re
seeing more and more of those jobs coming back to us.

Our team has won work from overseas including laser cutting acrylic pieces for Christmas
decorations for a luxury furniture and homeware store as well as more traditional
engineering jobs for industries like rail and construction.

Whilst we know we might struggle to compete on initial quotes with companies overseas,
customers are getting savvier and are much quicker to realise that they can avoid hidden
costs like production delays and poor quality by choosing British.

As confidence grows and more British companies like us invest in the latest equipment,
we’re convinced we’ll not only see more companies reshoring but also increase exporting as
the UK’s manufacturing appeal to overseas customers grows.
